Custom 3D Design and Printing
I provide custom design and small-batch 3D printing for functional parts, prototypes, repairs, and specialized equipment.
My focus is practical problem-solving rather than decorative models. Typical projects include:
- Brackets, mounts, adapters, and spacers
- Electronics enclosures and component holders
- Replacement parts for discontinued or specialized equipment
- Workshop and manufacturing fixtures
- Equipment cradles, guides, and protective parts
- Parametric parts that need multiple sizes or configurations
- Prototypes used to test fit, function, or assembly
I can work from an existing CAD file, a dimensioned drawing, physical measurements, photographs, a rough sketch, or a description of the problem the part needs to solve. When needed, I can help refine the design around print tolerances, strength, assembly, material use, and support-free manufacturing.
Services
- Custom CAD and parametric design
- Modification or repair of existing models
- Design-for-printability review
- Prototype printing and revisions
- One-off parts and small production runs
- Material and orientation recommendations
3D printing is best suited to prototypes, replacement parts, custom tools, and relatively small quantities. For large production runs, another manufacturing method may be more economical.
